Service Bureau Year in Review!

For a little over one year the Iowa GIS Service Bureau has been bringing you insight on Iowa related GIS news, sources of new geospatial data, a heads up about GIS meetings/conferences/social gatherings, and the occasional fun Friday map.

We occasionally get feedback and messages asking more specific questions about certain projects or posts, but until recently we knew very little about our 1,000s of visits.  About a month ago "Google Analytics" started providing some answers. To our satisfaction a clear majority of our visitors are return visitors who spend around seven minutes on the site.

The below map shows concentrations of visitors from around the world.  Our heaviest traffic comes from the Ames and Des Moines areas, but people visit from every corner of the state.  We are glad that more often than not, what counts as a visit is truly an intentional visit.

The GIS Service Bureau wants to thank everyone for choosing this blog as their resource for Iowa GIS news.
